Free WordPress Theme: WP Contempo Plain
Tuesday, February 9th, 2010
I got a comment from a reader the other day asking about how to remove the image from my WP Contempo theme, which is the first theme I ever gave away free here, and also the theme I’m using right now. Rather than going into detail, I remembered I had actually made a “plain” version of the theme just about 1 year ago. I was contacted by someone representing Suffolk University regarding using my theme for a project, and they needed a version with a text header, so I made some modifications to the theme and sent it over. Then, I put it in a folder and forgot about it.
Luckily, as I mentioned above, someone commented here the other day, and it reminded me that I had this theme ready to go. I made a few more modifications to it today, and now here it is. This is really a great theme, of cours I am a little biased, but really, it is nice. It’s got a clean look, easy to modify and I think it would work really well for niche sites.
Also, I successfully uploaded it to WordPress.org as well, so I am hoping they will approve it, which would mean it would be available for a one-click install in the WP admin, and I know I would probably use it a lot more if that were the case.
Anyway, please enjoy!
