Here is my first ever free magazine style WordPress theme. I’ve got several more in the works, so this is just the beginning of many great themes to come. One of the key things I’ve been looking for is a better solution to the Featured Content Gallery plugin. I personally don’t care for the look and feel of the featured content gallery. This theme uses a jQuery slideshow that is incredibly easy to use for the end user, and is not based on a plugin. These days the wordpress magazine theme is becoming a standard choice among WP bloggers, and Deepest Blue is an excellent theme choice in this genre of WP themes.

how do you edit the title text up top? kinda lame to leave it uneditable but I appreciate the effort.
It’s an image. Replace it with whatever image you want. Take a moment to read the readme file I included with the template.
Great theme. I’m using it for my website.
I “tweaked” the design a little bit, mainly adding drop down menus and some stuff for SEO.
Don’t know if anyone else ran into this but I had a couple problems when I tried to validate the theme under IE6, which I listed here: IE6 Bugs if anyones interested.
