When I first planned out my series on creating an Ebay Partner Network affiliate site from start to finish, I did not intend to include this step. When I joined Ebay Partner Network, I already had a great deal of existing sites, and I was switching over from the old CJ program so I really did not have any issues getting accepted. It has come to my attention since that this is actually a pretty important element of this whole series, particularly for beginners starting out who do not have an existing website. I’ll preface these instructions by saying that I am not 100% sure on the best way to approach this because my experience was quite easy, but I believe by following these instructions you should be on the right track.
Location, Location, Location
From what I’ve heard, it does matter where you live as far as getting an Ebay Partner Network account. If you live in Nigeria, you’re probably not going to get accepted by Ebay very easily. If you live in North America, or most parts of Europe, or Australia, location will probably not be a big factor. If you do get rejected based on your location, you may just have to find another affiliate program – Amazon may be a good place to try. I’ve also heard it’s possible to purchase an existing Ebay Partner Network account from someone else, but I would imagine this is probably not a viable long term soluton, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
Have an Existing Website
Ebay will ask you for your website when you sign up. Once you get an account, you can add as many additional websites as you want, but I believe the initial website you submit in your application will weigh heavily on whether you get accepted or not. If you don’t have an existing website yet, here’s what i would recommend. Follow my initial instructions on choosing a niche just as you would if you were already accepted by Ebay. Then, instead of setting up the WP Commerce Steel theme to look like my demo site, just start by creating a basic Blog. Use any regular free wordpress theme. I would recommend my WP Contempo theme, Munchen theme or Teel theme for this. These all have a clean look and feel and are appropriate for a variety of topics. Get the blog set up, and start adding content. Do not add any pages to the blog yet – except for possibly a brief about page and a contact us page. You can go back and add product pages once you get accepted by Ebay. Instead, start by writing blog posts, and let your site display like a regular blog. Once you get accepted, you can move all the blog posts to a blog page, and resume setting up the site for the WP Commerce theme.
Content is King
Work on adding content to your site. If you submit a basic WordPress template with 2 or 3 posts in it to Ebay, they may not take you seriously. Here are some ideas for adding content.
Add articles – you’re probably going to want to do this anyway at some point to help with SEO, so try to come up with some articles on your topic. I recommend you use 500 words or more per article, but at least be sure to have 300 words. Also, try to include pictures with the articles, this will help your site look more professional. If you can get 5-10 quality articles on your niche, this will help a lot in both getting accepted into EPN, and also down the road for SEO.
Add Product Reviews – this is a great way to add content to your site, especially if you’re dealing with a very specific niche that doesn’t have as much substance to produce articles for. Creating a product review is pretty simple. One way to do this easily is go to Amazon.com, and search for products in your niche. The nice thing about Amazon is that most products have been reviewed by users, so you should see a lot of existing feedback for products in your niche. Choose a product within your niche on Amazon. Find a nice picture of it and combine the user reviews on Amazon to create your own review. Do not copy user reviews, make sure you write the review in your own words using the user feedback as a guide. You can add lot of content to your site by creating reviews like this, and it will help you pick up long tail search traffic. Plus, in the event you don’t get accepted by Ebay, you could always find another affiliate program through CJ and possibly still promote the products you’re reviewing that way.
Find some news – certain niches like cell phones always have interesting news. Find news stories about your niche and rewrite them in your own words. Some very specific niches may not have a lot of news, so this won’t apply to everything, but give it a try.
Overall, I would recommend trying to generate at least 20 blog posts worth of content. You want your site to look professional to Ebay and make it seem like it’s well maintained. The more content you can add up front, the better, and it will help you just as much after you’re accepted, so all you’re really doing is slightly altering the order in which you go through this tutorial.
Keep it Simple
To do this right, you shouldn’t need anything more than a clean website with quality content. I strongly recommend you avoid cluttering your site with adsense and other affiliate offers before getting accepted into EPN. You can try, but you probably won’t make very much by having those extra ads starting out, and it could potentially hurt your chances of acceptance, so if it were me, I would absolutely avoid adding outside advertising.
Share Your Experience
Like I said, I had it pretty easy so I don’t necessarily know all the right moves to make, but if I had to do it from scratch, I think following the above guidelines would be a practical approach. If you have a story about how you got accepted or if you’ve been rejected before, share your experience with us and help make this smooth for others. Hi,
Found your post by searching google for this problem of not getting accepted in the Ebay Affiliate Network. I live in Australia and tried to join using the website mentioned. Not much content on it but it was ranking No. 3 in google a few days ago. Ebay rejected my application. The site was built for ebay as there are not many affiliate programs that sell antique kettles.
I will try to get in with a couple of other websites I have but didn’t think I would have trouble the first time around.
Hi Joy,
You’ve got a nice idea for a site there. The main problem I can see is that you’ve only really got 1 post, which is definitely a reason why ebay may have declined you. First thing – you should set up your about and privacy pages as PAGES not POSTS. You definitely need to do this. Then, work on creating posts. I think if you could come up with 15-25 quality posts you’ll have a much higher chance of getting accepted by Ebay. Your initial post is also too long. You could probably split it into at least 3-4 separate posts. I think the main thing is you want your site to appear established. At the moment, I can see how ebay may interpret it as a brand new site, and disapprove you from the program.
I have tried and tried with ebay partner network, it is just now that I really need to get in but seems Im never going to be accepted.. What am I to do about it?
I’m taking a look at your site. Here is what I would suggest. When you’re ready to apply for EPN, remove all, or most of, the advertising from your site. Right now you have quite a bit of other advertising on the site and that is one thing that may be a deterrent to them. You have a decent amount of content it looks like, but you have a lot of other ads and widgets cluttering up the site and I could see how they may find that a little spammy. Also, add some more photos to your posts as well, I think it will make the content look better. Last, you don’t have to do this, but you may seriously want to consider switching to a cleaner, white theme. I’m not a fan of black websites anyway, but I think if you go with something cleaner it will help. I’m not trying to criticize your site or anything, but I think if you go with the simplest possible layout and show them you have a lot of good quality, well formatted content, it will help your chances a lot. You can always change it back once you get accepted.
I made a mistake on EPN and got immediate termination. I thougth if I made a mistake they would just not pay me, and give me a warning. They cut me off, with not chance to explain. Do you know how and where I could appeal? Does the termination mean I am out of the other countries? I was in the UK, AU all the other too.
Thanks
What kind of mistake did you make, if you don’t mind me asking? How long were you a member?
I was a member for about a year, but the account sat idle because I did not know what to do with it. I think I got in close to the beginning. The mistake I made was to post links on Craigs list. I did not know if it was okay or not. I figured it it was not then they would not pay me for those clicks, would tell me why they did not pay. I tried a couple links and got paid, so I figured it must be okay or they would not pay me. Well then I added more links and in Feb they sent me an email telling me I violated the code of conduct, and my membership was immediately terminated. I really messed up bad. I had a web site I bought that is set up with an automatic feed that up dates to Ebay. I listed it up above. If I could make it right I would, but they won’t even answer my emails. They make me feel like I am some kind of criminal, I just made a mistake.
Yeah that is really unfortunate. Sadly with these big affiliate programs like EPN and Adsense, the level of individual communication publishers get from them is really not good, meaning it’s extra important to take some precaution that you’re not violating anything in the TOS. EPN is one of the worst as far as communication goes, and they provide very little information on the types of things that will get you banned. They had a huge purge of publishers last fall, and a lot of long time members were kicked out with no explanation.
In your case, you clearly violated the TOS, so it’s no real surprise you got booted, although it’s pretty sad that you didn’t get any prior warning or anything. To remedy the situation, you could try to re-apply, I have no idea how well that will work… You could also shift your focus to different affiliate programs. Amazon would probably be the next best option. If you don’t want to go with Amazon, you could always just sell your site and work on developing a new site for a different affiliate program.
I really dont want to remove my advertisements as its going to seriously affect the structure of my site.
It’s making me want to cry not getting accepted, it really is
Nice post,
I would like to create a ebay shop from scratch. What would be the best way for me to get accepted.
I have a domain name but don’t have a site yet. Now I can’t start building a site because I’m depended on ebay (or amazon). I would like it to be a shop only.
So do you think that they will accept me?
Or would it be better to create a blog or something first, just to get accepted? But the question is, how far do I have to take it with this concept. How much content do I need? And do I need to do something on SEO, I don’t know if they look at that.
Finally, I’ve been accepted by EPN! This was my third try since January. Previously, they rejected my newly-created blog which I acknowledge was a weak website. EPN also rejected a different WordPress site which at that time was basically an empty blog using the WP Commerce Steel theme–this also was a weak website. On my third attempt, I submitted my article directory website OnlineArticleSource.com. Since I created it in late February, it has about 750 registered authors and about 6400 articles. Before submitting it, I removed all the advertising except for one BlueHost add and one affiliate link per page. Boom! Accepted! I am excited to start using some of the suggestions here on WP Contempo.
Hey Tony,
Great to hear you got accepted, and thanks for sharing your experience here. I hope more people follow your lead so they can get accepted and start making $$$.
Hi, I would really like you to help me get accepted on ebayPN.
My website is http://www.best-videogames.com
It doesn’t have any content yet but it’s already created and I’m building it with BANS.
eBay have rejected my request 2 times so far.
Please help :/
thanks!
Hey Carlos,
It looks to me like you didnt actually read my post. You’re doing things in reverse order. I can pretty much give you a 100% guarantee that you won’t be able to get accepted to EPN using a site with no content. Basically all you have right now is a shell of site and that is NOT something EPN will want to see. What I suggest you do is remove BANS from your URL, replace it with a WordPress blog. Add 10 solid, 500+ word posts of unique content including graphics, then reapply to EPN. If they still reject you, add another 15 posts, and reapply again in another week or two. EPN wants to see quality sites from applicants, and the best way to do that is by showing them a good looking site with a lot of unique content.
2nd, this is just my opinion, but scrap BANS altogether. It’s not effective for creating websites. You’re much better off using PHPbay and will have a far better chance of your site not getting deindexed by Google.
Hey Carlos,
I see on your site has a link to Ebay. Did you get accepted? or is that just a link to Ebay without a campaign number?
Wendy
Hi Carlos
I tried several times to get with ebay but no luck and no explanation so I gave up. After reading your post I; now have something else to try, thanks a lot.
Jon
How long does it usually take to hear back from them? I applied and a couple weeks ago and have not heard a thing back, I even verified my site right after I applied. Do you know how they usually take to get back to you after you apply?
Hey Matt,
To be honest, I’m not entirely sure how long it takes, although I wouldn’t necessarily be surprised if it took over two weeks. The fact that they made a lot of changes to their network at the beginning of this month may be contributing to the lag as well. You may want to give it one more week, and if you still don’t hear anything, either try to directly contact them, or reapply again.
I’m assuming you applied directly with EPN, and not Pepperjam, right?
Hi Sam, I just applied 2 days ago with epn. Just wondering if my site will be good enough for epn to accept my application. I didn’t realize it takes weeks to hear back from them. Kinda dissapointed about that…hopefully it will take sooner.
Hey Taylor,
At this point, it can definitely take some time to get accepted. If you applied with your Gain Muscle site, I think you have a decent chance. Structurally, it looks pretty sound. One thing I will say – the less advertisements you have on your site when you apply, I think the more likely you are to get accepted. So do keep that in mind. Best of luck to you.
I haven’t got any full on ebay affiliate sites, but I applied because I wanted to add a page of ebay listings for some extra interest on some of my other sites. Personally I found the sign up questions very confusing, so to be on the safe side I answered yes if I was doing anything on any of the sites that could possibly be interpreted as what the question was asking. So for example with the question about sending emails, one of my sites is a membership site so it does occasionally send site related emails. Also with the question about software downloads, I was considering offering free wordpress themes, and didn’t know if that counted or not. So when I answered yes, I was accepted by lots of ebay countries, but not the one I lived in! In the end I carried on with the other ebays on my less local sites and put in an appeal to my local ebay, explaining in detail what was going on, and eventually they took me on too.
Glad to hear you were able to get accepted. Thanks for sharing your story with us, there’s some great information in there that will hopefully be helpful to others.
Hi, as many people, I always tried to enter Ebay Partner Network without success.
I tried to propose two blogs : one about Michael Jackson (that I sold a few time after) and with my Internet Marketing one.
I’m from Italy, and I can’t really understand why I’m always rejected.
Thanks for the post Sam, I really appreciated it.
Goodbye,
Alessandro Zamboni
Hi Sam. First of all – thanks a lot for your posts and themes. Everything is really appreciated. You’ve got a really good and informative blog!
Sam, I might need your advice here. I live in Aus and urgently need EPN. I’ve got few websites/blogs but almost all of them were built on new domains [as far as I know - one needs to have an old DN to get approved]. Out of all of them only one side that I own is is more or less old [www.europaint.com.au]. It’s a house painting website. Do you think I can use it to apply for EPN? It’s a service site [as providing painting] and that worries me. A “product” site would be better to have, isn’t it? May be I’m wrong, and this one will do? Thanks in advance, would really appreciate your opinion on the above.
Hey Mark,
You don’t necessarily need to apply with a product related site, although it does help. I think your best bet would be to try applying with your painting site. Anyone can clearly see that it’s a legit site, so in theory I think it would be enough to get you in. If it ends up not working out, one of your newer product sites might be the next best thing. Good luck!
Hi Sam,
Thanks a lot for your reply and advice.
Will try with that “painting” one first, I also think that is probably the best bet for me (I’ll try to keep you posted on this too).
I live in Oz so we are already in 2010!!!
I would like to wish you and every visitor of your wonderful blog only the very best in the coming year and all years to come.
Have a happy, successful and inspiring Year!
To our SUCCESS!!!
Mark
Che Gosh, what were the chances of that? My previous post got the time stamp of 11:59PM of December 31 !!!
Happy new Year!
Go figure! Either way, have a great new year and let us know how it goes for you.
Hey Sam,
I got a lot of great information about EPN from your blogs here. I was wondering if you could give me an idea of why I did not get accepted to EPN. Our site gets 30,000 users a month and 90,000 page views a month. Please check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!!
Nick, that is a good question. I can’t really see any reason why they wouldn’t accept you. I would say, maybe give the application one more try, if it still doesn’t work, you may have to apply with a different site.
Hi Sam,
Thanks so much for your blog. I feel lost without it. Please check my site to see why EPN won’t accept it. Does my website, ebay and paypal emails all have to match?
Hi Becky,
No, I don’t think they all need to match. I’ve been having a problem loading your site, so I think that could be a big reason why you’re having problems – if it is a recurring issue. Otherwise, it’s tough to say…
Hi Sam,
Sorry about the loading problem. I was also having trouble, but now loads fine. My software program was down temporarily, so I think. If you will, please try again.
Hi Sam,
Sorry about the loading problem. I was also having trouble, but now loads fine. My software program was down temporarily, so I think. If you will, please try again.
Thanks,
Becky
Ok, had a chance to take a look over the site. Content-wise, I think you’re in good shape. You may want to squeeze in some more pictures if you can, but other than that I think you’re OK there. I think the main problem is that with the theme your using, the site looks really bland. For affiliate purposes, that theme is probably great for getting a good CTR, but to pass a manual review with EPN, I think that may be where you’re getting hung up. If you can find a nice looking theme, and doll the site up as much as possible so that it looks like it is really well cared for, I think it will go a long way. Then you can always go back to your current theme once you’re accepted.
Hi Sam,
Great blog. Honestly.
Wanted to ask you about Payment Information in EPN. For a couple of my sites I want to use EPN but don’t have one.
At the same time one friend of mine got it, an activated one and is willing to give it to me for a year or so [it has never been used before]. He already let me to login using his email, and exactly as he said – there was an Account information place where I can specify my own Paypal email address. Neither that guy no me have any experiences dealing with EPN. If I put and save there my Paypal email address, that should be fine, isn’t it?
I just wonder if it could be a problem that Paypal email address specified in Account Information Section belongs to a different person.
That guy will be overseas for a year, and I might get real problems to get money out of that EPN if it won’t be possible to change Paypal email address to my one.
Please advise.
Thanks.
Hey David,
I don’t think it should be a problem for you. I’m pretty sure my own epn account email is different from my paypal email, so I don’t see any issues with that. You’ll figure it out pretty quickly anyway after the first month’s payout, so it would be tough to get burned too bad anyway.
Sam
Hi Sam,
Great topic and I think its brilliant that you have taken the time to answer some many peoples questions and problems.
I applied for the EPN this morning as I think it would work quite well on my car boot sale as my blog posts could easily promote products that would be of genuine use and interest to my readers.
Having looked through your list, i’d say i’m in pretty good shape to get accepted. My site has only been live a few months but i’ve been hammering the content and I get traffic from all sorts of keywords and phrases now, much of it relating to eBay
Yeah, your site looks good. Don’t be surprised if they are slow in approving you, just because it seems to take a while these days, but overall I think you’ve got a quality looking site, and they shouldn’t have any reason not to approve you. Good luck!
Buying an EPN account is not all viable since ebay monitors your IP. You can imagine loosing some hard earned cash after months of effort. As you rightly said to avoid such misfortunes you better look for alternative affiliates.
Yeah I certainly wouldn’t try it. I just happened to know, that at the time I wrote this post originally, there were people selling and trading EPN accounts. It’s pretty obvious that if you’re in this for the long haul, your not going to get very far with a black market EPN account. Do it the hard way if you’re going to do it at all – or even better – avoid EPN completely and start promoting Amazon.
This is weird, I lost my EPN account, but still have my Ebay developers account. I don’t know how to use an API but I guess I will have to learn. My site is in WP which I find easier to use, and managed to activate a plug in for for Ebay in one of the side bars. But I don’t know if I am actually getting credit for any clicks. I found another plug in that will allow a full page in my blog, but I am still very new at this and haven’t figured that one out. I guess the EPN and the Ebay developers are two different accounts.
Who knew? any body know where I can get some help?
Yeah, from what you are saying, I think they are two separate things. I’m not familiar with Ebay Developer’s accounts.
LOL me either! but we are learning. If I can read I can learn.
Hey,
I left a comment on this blog about a month ago. You told me that you weren’t sure why my site did not get accepted and it should! We tried twice to get accepted and got denied both times. Can you give me any other advice on how to get approved or why you think our site did not get approved. Thanks!!
Nick
Yeah, I really have no idea. I have a couple guesses – 1 – you have a weird splash page as your home page, and your main site is under the /tv/. At least from what I can see. It’s quite possible they don’t like that, and maybe never even looked past it. I would seriously consider losing that splash page for this reason, and a variety of other reasons I won’t get into right now. Second – maybe it has something to do with the fact that your blog is not integrated into your site. The only other thing I could try is using the Blog URL when you submit your application again. Other than that, I really have no idea because your site looks completely legit to me.
Great article!
I started a new blog recently and I’ve been hammering away to add content. If I drop the Google and Amazon ads when I apply (I only have one of each), what are my odds of being accepted?
Should I grow the site out more first? Could I get away with applying without dropping the ads?
Hey Ken,
I don’t think there would be any harm in applying now. Even if you get rejected, you can still keep working and try again down the road. Personally I would absolutely recommend dropping the other ads from your site when you apply. Unless you are making a lot of money via Amazon and Google ads on your site, they can only hurt your chances – and if you are making money from Amazon and Google, don’t bother with EPN anyway. It’s the worst of the 3.
Hi Sam,
I’m about to apply for EPN. Can you please have a look at my site and tell me if you think it will pass? Thanks in advance.
Hey Howard,
Overall the site looks good, and not too spammy, so that’s a good thing. The 2 negatives I can see are: 1. The topic doesn’t seem like a great match for the EPN affiliate program – I don’t know if they necessarily care that much about this, but it is a potential roadblock to consider. 2. You clearly only have 5 or 6 pages of content on your site – at least as far as I can tell. If someone does a manual review of the site like I just did, they will probably see the same thing I did, and this could potentially be a problem. I think you would be safer if you had at least 10-20 articles on the site. At least enough so that if someone does a review, they would have to work to actually find out how many total pages the site is. Overall, though, I think you did a good job building the site and it looks good to me. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
This is hilarious…someone proposing too know what ebay is up to with their EPN. Thats like saying you know how to get one over on google search engines. eBay is full of jackasses that 1. cannot keep their site functioning properly, 2. consists of amateur, fresh out of college, inexpensive rate programmers with limited experience, and 3. are so corporate these days that they don’t care what you think or want. Google adsense is king and Amazon is a huge alternative as they do not say no because they think they know something about your website.
FYI “remove the ads from your site” may sneak you in but don’t think they will drop you as soon as you place those ads back. They will wait until you are about to hit a payment threshold, drop you from their program, and you forfeit payment from earned referral commissions. Wanna make money online? AVOID EBAY!
http://www.wpcontempo.com/how-to-get-accepted-by-ebay-partner-network-part-2-a-quick-introduction-to-common-sense/
I submitted my company website (web development) as I dont have an affiliate site yet, I got rejected. I can only think its because you must submit an affiliate site already finished, rather than your company site. Problem is you could put a lot of hard work in, and still get rejected for some reason. They gave me no specific reason which is unbelievable. Do they WANT people to be affiliates or not?
I tried again also and got rejected. I hear they are just not accepting new affiliates right now. I have been waiting a year hoping I would get back on. I give up. Anyone who is an Ebay affiliate, I have a web site for sale that is set up exclusively for Ebay, http://www.thehomestyle.com/. Just email me weggy485@juno.com
That sux wendy, thats one heck of a site. If any one should get accepted it would be you. I also applyed, and got rejected although it was with a co.cc site. I even emailed them when my account wouldnt log in thinking that My account was being dumb, but they just haddent looked at my application yet, I got to speak with them, the people that do the applications, they just said please wait for your account to be looked.
Wow, I was certain my 2 year old social network would be accepted. I could not believe they turned down my site with over 2400 members! Any ides why? I didn’t have any ads when I applied..
Other people who’ve replied here have said that EPN may not even be accepting any new applications right now. I don’t have any idea if that’s true or not, but judging just by the look of your site, I can’t see any real reason why you shouldn’t get accepted.
I just found out about the Ebay Partner Network and would be interested in joining and making money from it. Can you please tell me if you think my site would be approved and what can someone make realistically with quality traffic?
My site is: http://www.thebestwebsiteblueprint.com
Thanks so much!
Lori
Hey Lori,
From a quick glance it looks like there’s already a ton of ads on the site, and it’s not really in a niche I would consider good for EPN. That’s just my opinion, but I don’t know if you would have a great shot at getting accepted with this site. You can make a ton of money with good traffic, but you have to match the traffic up with the right products in order to convert. In the make money online niche, you might do better with a different monitization method.
Hey Sam I bought this site about two weeks and the owner already had an ebay account with it. I applied for it after I purchased it but have not heard from them as of yet. Do you think it will get accepted again?
Hey Peter,
It’s tough to say, but honestly, in my opinion, I don’t think this would be a great candidate for getting you into EPN. It looks like basically just an auto-blog with a bunch of autogenerated content and you have a ton of other advertising on the site. Not only that, but the first video that appeared when I visited the site seemed to be about cooking Meth, so that right there would probably be a big setback.
Hey I am out of Canada and provided them with my number do you think they will call me? What do you think of my site?
Your site looks ok to me. I don’t think they’re going to call you.
Hi Sam,
My site was just rejected by EPN. It’s a new site, and I’m new at building website, so can you take a look at it, and let me know what you think? My site is http://www.fender-acoustic-guitarsstore.com.
Thanks,
Shaun
Hi Shaun,
First off, I believe the name Fender is trademarked, and I think this technically would violate Ebay’s TOS, so that is reason #1. Second, your site clearly has a ton of placeholder links that go nowhere, so just by looking at it for 1 second you can see that it is incomplete. Third, you have hardly any content at all on the site. You also don’t have meta title tags, which is probably one of the very first steps to creating a website. Fourth, you have a link to a WordPress blog on the site that only contains the default Hello World post and theme. Fifth, you are using frames on your site, which is never a good thing.
I think a combination of all the above things is probably what led to the denial of your application. My recommendation: work on learning how to set up a site properly and master that, then once you’ve got that down, you can try again to apply to EPN.
Thanks for the site critique Sam! At least I know somethings to fix on the site now. EPN’s email was pretty vague. You’re helping a lot of people on this blog. That’s good to see these days.
No problem at all. I think if you put some time into learning how to work on your site and make it look really good, you should have no problem monitizing it when it’s ready.
Do you know if ebay is ok with affiliates posting links in their own classifieds pages? And what’s ads are ok for their pages? They are really tight lipped about what’s ok and what’s now. Very frustrating.
Great site btw,
-=Daniel=-
Hey Daniel,
That’s a good question. It might be possible, but unless you hear for sure from EPN, I would definitely err on the side of caution on this one and avoid doing it.
i have applied three times for an ebay network account. I have read their ts&cs and i can’t figure out what im doing wrong.
Any ideas?
Shame you haven’t been accepted, I like the site and what you have done with it!
Has anyone submitted a site that wasn’t “aged?” My site is only about 1 month old. Should I wait for six months or so before I apply?
Hi Sam,
I am a web developer in the UK and I am about to build a site just for EPN.
Thanks to all the posts here, I have read them all.
You say that EPN is the worst out of Amazon and Google.
What do you mean by that? Could I make more with Amazon and Google.
Thanks in advance!
Ben.
I think they are knocking back certain platforms like WordPress and Joomla Blogs etc etc.
I STRONGLY recommend you try setting up a HTML based website first with the other recommendations mentioned earlier such as NO ADS, Plenty of good content and make sure the first page people get to is the content (another words no flash entry pages).
If you have been knocked back previously I suggest you go and register a new domain name for this purpose, make sure it is confirmed with Google Webmaster Tools and build the html site making sure all the relevant info is there such as title tags and meta’s and keywords etc, add all of your content , tidy it up and THEN GO AND APPLY TO EBAY.
Please let me know if this works for you too
