Fantastico doesn't show up in my panel (wonder if they killed it as of late) I did the same for addon domain configuration though at least with drupal it seems to have some cronjob and folder permission quirks. It may have just been error on my part but I think Fantastico is faster and it only takes a second to upgrade to the latest version of Wordpress anyway.
